The Yegua Band program is under the direction of Band Director Carl Idlebird and Assistant Band Director Laura McNeil.

 

Students begin band in the sixth grade in Somerville with class sizes averaging from 25 to 30 students. The sixth grade bands perform annually at the Christmas Concert and the Spring Concert.  Students are selected to form a Honor Band and compete once a year at a spring contest.  

 

The high school band consists of students from grades seventh through twelfth.  These students participate in numerous community activites, contest and concerts through out the year.
